Over the span of six decades, Mariachi Nuevo Tecalitlán has ascended to the pinnacle of the mariachi realm, gracing prestigious events and collaborating with renowned vocalists and symphony orchestras. Originally established in Guadalajara in 1965 by the late José “Pepe” Martínez (1941-2016) and Fernando Martínez (1946-1998), today’s fifteen-member ensemble comprises highly accomplished musicians and vocalists. They deliver a captivating repertoire of traditional rancheras, sones, huapangos, boleros, and classically influenced favorites, embodying the Martínez family tradition. Under the musical direction of Fernando Martínez, the ensemble, including brothers Ángel and Alex, and son Luis Fernando, continues the Martínez legacy that spans nearly 60 illustrious years.
